We have a lot of flu cases around here but they haven’t put any restrictions besides the people visiting must be over a certain age and no young children other than siblings are allowed on the unit. They do have a friendly note on the door asking if you are sick to visit at a later time but nothing beyond normal restrictions at this time. At my hospital everyone has a private room there is never more than one mom in the room at a time unless you are there to stop your labor then you are put into one of two rooms that allow for two patients to be in the same room. In which case family cannot stay overnight but you can still have visitors.

We're being hit hard by the flu. Every place has restrictions.

They even have signs in the hospital saying that if you haven't been vaxed for the flu, you should wear a mask. If you even sneeze, there is someone there handing you a mask andhand sanitizer. They have limited the number of visitors allowed per patient. And in the maternity ward, a woman can only have one visitor the entire time she is there. Not one at a time, just ONE named visitor. That is the only person who can visit

Wow! My room was private and so was the nicu. Meaning there is only one baby per room. You never have to leave your baby. We still had insane flu control measures.

A friend of mine just had her baby yesterday at the hospital I'll be delivering at, she has 4 little girls already between the ages of 2 to 8 and she said none of her children were allowed to see her or the baby. She said they use to be okay with siblings but not now cause of the RSV season. I hope this rule is lifed by the time I have my little girl but I highly doubt it wil be since its only a couple weeks away.
