What should I Do!

So Im due in Oct just found out recently and I have a name picked out if its a boy (Aksel Matthaeus) And my fiancee really like the name Adalaya but I really really dislike it I've been trying to convince him to find another name but he refuses... Should I just let him name the baby if its a girl or tell him absolutely not. I dont want to be unfair but at the same time I dont want to regret my childs name.

You need to decide on something you both like took me and my OH a while but he refused to pick a boys name because he's 100% sure it's girl even before we had the gender scan

I personally love the name adalaya. But... maybe try doing the names in a hat. That way its fair.  

I know that but I would have to tell him absolutely no on Adalaya and he loves the name. I just feel bad because its his kid just as it is mine it would be one thing if he just liked the name but he is really set on it.

Juliette that is a good idea. I used to like the name as well but I was pregnant in dec of 2011 and lost the baby and we had picked out the names Asher Leon and Adalaya Noel. Since we lost the baby I dont want to reuse the names it dosnt feel right to me and it makes me sad.

What if you found a way to incorporate Adalaya as a middle name. Would you be okay with that?

I did think about that we could swing it but Adalaya is a long name so the first name would have to be short and couldnt end in an a to make it sound alright. James also said he liked the name Iona so I may be to convince him to change it his mind but it wont be easy...

You both need to agree. Their both horrible names, so at this point the kid is pretty screwed no matter what it is.

I didnt ask for opinions regarding my name choices and there is really no reason for you to randomly insult people. I saw the name of you were thinking of and it inst to my tastes either but I would never choose to insult you because of it because at the end of the day its none of my business just like what I choose to name my child is none of yours.

No I would make him find a new name that you could agree on. But either way the names suck.

Again I am not asking opinions on the name choices. Again there is no point to being rude. Everyone has a right to pick their own baby name just like you did. I like the name I picked out and dont need any opinions on it.

If you do t want opinions dont post. It's a public forum and people will make comments, wanted or not. And this wasn't even very rude.  

Lol some people just feel the need to be smurfs online to make themselves feel better in real life, pay them no mind OP. Anyways, talk to hubby and tell him you both need to agree on something...it's really hard. On a different note, at least your hubs HAS an input. I had to DRAG name ideas out of my hub, who kept saying up untill like 28 weeks, it's too early. Argg frustrating!

I think you should find names that you both agree on.

I also think you should both find names you agree on.... it really isn't fair that you can pick the boy name that you love and you threw out the girl name he loves with no regard of his feelings.. to me that doesn't seem very nice.. you're overly concerned about the fact that you just have to have aksel.. but what about what he wants.. he's just as much part of this as you are....my SO and i both made lists of the names we liked.. and went through them and narrowed them down to names we BOTH liked.. without your SO you wouldn't even be pregnant....
