gastroschsis

I am having my second child my first was a healthy 6lbs12oz lil boy...but not to long ago i found out my second child which is a girl has gastroschsis has anyone ever delt with this

My niece was born with that. My sister had a c-section I think around 34-35 weeks and they basically put all of my nieces intestines in a bag and let them hang above her body so gravity would do the work and her bowels could go inside her body as naturally as possibly. Once everything was inside, they stitched the opening closed. I don't remember what prematurity issues she had but I do know she stayed in the NICU almost until her due date. She's 7 now, happy and healthy.   good luck mama!

well i had the baby a lil earlier than esxpected i was 34 1/2 weeks...so almost 6 weeks early...she was 3.5 lbs 7.6oz.....she is doing great has had her full close surgery and is already of the ventalatior not even 48 hrs later....jus got to get her to eat good and use the bathrooom now...she will be 4 days old tommorow
