Breakfast for your 2 year old.

posted 3rd Feb
What do you do for breakfast? Lately my son has been on a oatmeal kick. I want to try different things, We've tried a jam sandwich, that he threw to the dog, eggs and turkey bacon, which he threw all the eggs to the dog and ate the bacon, we tried milk and cereal, which was a disaster...what are some new things I could try?

Thanks!

One of the posts I just saw this morning was "Cookies and chicken alfredo"

How about a fruit platter basically? Oranges, apples, grapes, strawberries, melons? Some dry granola and yogurt?

My almost 3 year old will only eat oatmeal for breakfast. If we're out for breakfast he'll eat chicken fried chicken and a tiny bit of pancake.

Besides oatmeal he's not really a breakfast person. Oh, he likes bananas.

Cheerios with milk. Or waffles if we're out of cereal like now.

You know, I had leftover pizza for breakfast this morning, but I would never let my kid eat it, too.

He loves fruit, I'll mix bananas into his oatmeal, or blueberries, strawberries, ect.

It's just that the oatmeal makes his diapers so...gross. LOL

Hmm, I'm gonna have to go get some waffles. We tried them with him before, at like a year and he was just like "Meh" but maybe now he'll be more excited, especially if I get blueberry or chocolate chip.

Peanut butter toast, mini pancakes, fruit and yogurt. Lately she's been on a real big grits kick. Sometimes with cheese on top, or butter. Occasionally she'll eat it with an egg mixed in.

Hahahaha i saw that too and was like whoa.

How about yogurt? Fruit? Poptarts?

Kids can be such picky eaters. I've been lucky with my son though, that he loves fruit and yogurt.

Maybe cereal without the milk? Thats the only way my son will eat it..

Peanut butter toast? My son loves that..

My son loves Cheerios with the smallest bit of milk and sliced strawberries. He hates oatmeal :-/ he is pretty good with anything, eggs, eggs sandwich, French toast, granola with yogurt & fresh fruit, waffle with peanut butter. He isn't too picky in breakfast but he is SUPER picky with lunch & dinner lol

DD is only 9 months old but her favorite food for breakfast right now is toast with homemade jam and yogurt.... But you could do maybe cheerios in yogurt, those toddler muffin things made out of bananas, carrots, and squash, apple slices topped with peanut butter and granola, whole wheat pancakes, you could try adding green peppers or other veggies and cheese to scrambled eggs, english muffins with a tad bit of cream cheese...

Hah leftover pizza is THE BEST for breakfast. But yeah, not for my kid. And yeah oatmeal diapers are nasty dude. We cloth and I HATE the diapers when he eats oatmeal for a week. KID LOVES IT. And it's healthy so I give it to him a lot. We rinse ours in the shower, and one day I was in the bath and saw a piece of oatmeal and though, "Wonder if that's off him from his bath this morning, or a diaper...." lmao
