I'm a bad mom..

because right now my child looks like someone kicked his ass.

he has scratches all over his legs from falling while playing outside, he has a scratch on his arm(it looks like he tried to kill himself) from my sister's cat scratching him..and a few days ago he ran into DH while DH was fixing up the house and he some how managed to run into DH's work belt and hit the hammer  now he has this very nice shiner of a black eye. It started off as a little bump but has now progressed into a full on black eye!...I feel like a terrible mom. My kid is just scratched and bruised to hell and the only way to prevent him from getting like that is to keep him indoors at all times...

AND on top of that, he is a roughhouser!...he LOVES to play rough...I don't know what to do..

Kids will be kids there isnt much you can do.

Seriously though, my daughter is the same way. Her legs look like one giant bruise because she falls, runs into things, hits her shins, it's annoying. Lol Right before family pictures, she face planted and got rug burn on her cheek. It's a good thing I'm really good with make-up.  
Stuff happens, kids will get injured, it sucks but it's a part of being a kid. :-)

clara always looks like she was in a brawl with another toddler. she's always bruising up her legs 'n such from roughhousing.
and, she has those mongolian blue spots on her butt 'n ankles (the ankle ones have faded mostly in age) so i used to get weird/dirty looks when changing her in public ha. like i hold her by her ankles while beating her bum

haha to the holding her by her ankles part!..I guess 2.5-3 is that age where they just have no care in the world whether they look like they had been beaten with bamboo sticks....

We were at a Target in Utah and my DD ran face first into a cart. She bent her glasses, bruised her face, it was awful.

oh god! that is awful! poor thing!!...LO would do the same everytime we go if I wasn't up his butt about holding hands or being in the cart so he doesn't get hit, run over or run into something!!


I don't have to abuse my child, he does a good enough job on his own!!

My son isn't too bad now (he's 5) but he is still pretty clumsy, gets bruises on his legs really easily from running into stuff and just not watching where he's going. Me on the other hand, yup, I just never grew out of it haha.

RJ has a busted upper lip and a purple bruise on his nose. He climbed over the baby gate, but got his shoe caught and did a face plant on the hard floor.

DS doesn't look beat up but he's clumsy as hell. He has like 20 bruises in the same spot - on his shins where he knocks them on everything lol.
