I'm not reading through all the pages, but here's my 2 cents...
~ I'm concerned about the fact that your 2-yo is waking up on his own and then comes to get you... what happens the day he decides not to go wake mommy and go play with the kitchen knives instead? If he has an "average" wake-up time, your alarm should be set for 20 minutes before that. There should be a baby gate at his door, 2-yo's should not have the run of the house before their parents are awake.
~ The swing and the bouncer have to go. Period. He's a big boy now.
~ He needs to be eating healthier, I'm sure that's been brought up a time or two, lol... give him options, sure... but make it a choice between oatmeal or eggs, not leftovers for breakfast. I'm all about leftovers for lunch, but the first thing my kids eat in the morning is a piece of fresh fruit. Then they either have cold cereal, oatmeal, eggs, or french toast/pancakes, depending on how much time we have.
~ You didn't mention what he drinks, but I'm hoping it's whole milk (maybe 2%, but he's on the smaller side so whole won't hurt) and water. That should really be it.
I don't know, it seems like you two have a good thing going on overall, you seem like a fun, pretty laid-back mom... honestly, I wish I was more that way sometimes, but then my control-freak, OCD side takes over. Just be a little more aware of the safety issues and definitely get a good bedtime routine into place (he should be in bed by 8/8:30, ideally). You're doing just fine... I miss only having 1 kid, lol.

She already replied to a lot of what you pointed out...the breakfast that she put in the OP isn't typical, they had his birthday party and all she really has until pay day is left overs. She took the bouncer and swing out of his room to avoid the temptation, which the idea was in this thread, but she said she already had done it in another thread shortly after this, that thread is the reason I'm answering this. She had a hard time with how people came at her.

I personally don't see a problem with him going to get her up...it is teaching him that is something he should be doing. If he's been doing it without any issues then it isn't a problem (maybe there is a gate at the kitchen...you don't know). And for pete's sake...Juice isn't gonna hurt   Just sayin'

In her defense, juice can be worse than soda. My sons pedi advises against it.

I figured she had, like I said, I just didn't want to read through all the pages and figured I'd throw my opinion out there in case something hadn't been mentioned. I don't know if there's a gate at the kitchen - none of us do, since she didn't say - but if there's not... maybe now there will be. Sometimes the simple things slip our minds. Juice actually does hurt, it's full of sugar and not good at all for those baby teeth. And I'd be willing to bet that most of the parents that give their children juice, definitely aren't brushing their teeth right after. Juice tends to be a morning thing, and then that sugar sits all day long. It's just not necessary. Better to get them to love water from a young age.

Of course lol

I used to give DS juice straight all the time...he didn't care for water. Now he gets no straight juice and I just splash a little in with his water, just to give it flavor. He lets just straight water run out of his mouth down his stomach...lol

Can be if given too much or the wrong juice. We don't have anything in the house ever but 100% no sugar added. So I don't bat an eye at giving him a cup of apple juice from time to time.

I'm lucky mine LOVES water. Seriously he'll chug like a 9 oz sippy of water in one sitting a few times a day. He doesn't sip on a drink he downs it all at once. I don't water down his juice either. But he only gets it once or twice a week right now. Unless daddy makes him apple juice while I'm in bed then he gets it more often because dad's a sucker lol.

Mine always has water after he has juice or milk. So it's rinsing it out and we brush his teeth too so I'm not too worried about a bit of juice.

Fruit is the ultimate carb....100% juice is still almost pure sugar.

Wow...lol! I wish mine did that!!! I wouldn't have hunt down his sippy to make sure it isn't leaking everywhere! lol I only buy the Gerber juice, but still right now I only give it mixed with his water. I do have some splashers ones that once I decide to open I wouldn't do that with. He just used to get juice so much that I'm trying to get away from it for a while. If he has issues with his teeth it isn't gonna be because of juice anyway...it's going to be because he still takes a bottle at naps and bedtime and at least one during the night   We do brush his teeth at least once a day tho

Yeah, I don't know what planet you live on, but most parents keep knives some where that even an adventurous kid couldn't get them. And at 2 my kid would have climbed the gate or barreled through it. She has always came to wake me up when she wakes up, since she was about 2, she's almost 5 now.

Fruit sugar is good sugars though. I'm not too concerned about juice.
