Not every healthcare professional says the same thing though - you make the assumption they do. My kid's Dr has no issue with it. My Dr went for a gazillion years & says it's up to me...and there are pros & cons, etc...we have talked about it a LOT over the past 6 yrs. What then? I get to make the choice because of my Dr's attitude toward it, but someone whose Dr says they should vax can't?

Pediatritions are all given the same RECOMMENDED schedule....not all enforce it. His primary pediatrition only encouraged the DtaP...but honestly that is one of the main ones I have an issue with and I explained that to her. She never brought it up again..just explained what I need to do to get him in schools regarding the exemption form.

I quit. I was bored and looking for something to debate at around 1am this morning. The novelty has now worn off. I can go tit for tat with every argument here because this is something I feel pretty well informed about and pretty strongly about... but I am on a topic that is decidedly "anti-vaccine" and there are about 5 to 1 here... and I'm tired of the trivial issues and the same arguments being thrown around at every turn. I'm done.

You may want to consider reading the actual inserts before giving the go ahead. At two months a child gets Dtap ( vaccine combo Diptheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis) Hib, Pc, Polio, Rotavirus, and Hep B ( if not given as a nb)....Some doctors put these into combo SHOTS....but ultimately it is 7-8 vaccines depending that their bodies will have to process at once

Get off your high horse, noone is impressed.

And yes, you stated that vaccine's were not profitable and that is simply not true.

I also am sure I research each and every medical intervention suggested for my family, don't give me your patronizing bullsmurf about doctors explaining things.

Thats the problems with some RN's they think they are doctors sometimes

Everyone knows the combo's are 3 each and given with additional vaccines.

And now you might have teensy bit better idea of what it is like every day when you don't vax...as the general ratio is 9/10 to 1 for those that do vax compared to those that don't. I certainly didn't opt not to vax because it was easy or I expect others to agree with me, it is the furthest thing from that.

Overall, among grantees in the 47 states and DC that reported 2011–12 school vaccination coverage, median MMR vaccination coverage was 94.8%, with a range of 86.8% in Colorado to 99.3% in Texas; four jurisdictions of these grantees reported <90% MMR coverage (Table 1). Median coverage with 2 doses of varicella vaccine among 33 grantees reporting was 93.2%, with a range of 84.0% in Colorado to 99.2% in Mississippi and Texas. The median coverage levels for DTaP, poliovirus, and HepB vaccines all were at or above the Healthy People 2020 target of 95%. http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6133a2.htm
