I'm 23 weeks and lay on my back! Sometimes I fall asleep on it and it's never hurt anything. But mostly I sleep on my left side.

I layed on my back till the day my son was born! I did t have any issues. I think they tell you not to cause it can cause pressure on some vein or something and cause you to pass out and even die if no one is there to turn you. But I'm not 100% sure on that.

My partner played on her back her whole pregnancy, I think its just because its supposed to be uncomfortable and can put pressure on your organs as the baby grows but my Mrs done it anyway and my sons fine so is she

I laid the way I was most comfortable. mostly on my back or on my right side. I couldn't ever sleep on my left side.... well when I did sleep...My Dr told me as long as I was comfortable then it was fine

Lay on your back as long as you are comfortable, the concern is restriction of blood flow from your IVC but you will know if baby and uterus is compressing it. It will be really uncomfortable and feel like you can't breathe and you will get light headed.

It is true. There is like a blood vessel back there that can get pinched off and I swear it makes you feel like your blood sugar is dropping. I had that issue all the time so it was especially difficult when I was getting my ultra sounds until the tech figured out what was going on and she was able to tilt the table so that wouldn't happen.

I just recently started not being able to lay on my back cause it like cuts off the circulation to my brain and gives me a really bad headache now. lol.
they say you're not supposed to because of all the pressure on your organs from baby. So at 15 weeks I think you're good cause baby is so small still

I read it somewhere on the website saying it is not safe to and I just freaked out because I lay my back on sofa and bed a lot. I felt bad. So, after reading everyone comments, I guess it is alright to lay on the back as long as it is comfortable and if it is not then don't, right? I am comfortable for now AND i love sleeping on my back a lot. Also sleeping on my right side. I am just making sure if i am not harming myself or my baby. Thank you guys for replying me back because I feel much better knowing this now. :-) Whew... lol
