water breaking.

around 3am i woke up having to potty (it was diarrea so i was suspicious) then at about 4 am i was laying in bed monitoring contractions i had like 5 that were 8 min apart and,then stopped. and i felt like a poof* and a warm trickle come out my hoohoo.. so i was thinking maybe she broke. so i stood up and the doctor said it should trickle down my leg.. but it didnt. however my vagina was wet. but that could be anything :/

so i lay back down in bed and i felt the same thing but it was a couple hours later.. so i stood up.. same thing.

its like this one huge mind game with my body.

Seriouslt, this is how my water broke. My husband asked if I had a wet dream or wet the bed a lil. On the second time- 3 hrs later,I called my nurse. She said come on and as I started packing I felt 'real' contractions, I do think you should call.

I just trickled, I never had the huge gush until I was in full blown labor & then it wouldn't STOP gushing the whole time. (I was already in the hospital for pre-term labor) I got out of the shower, & kept feeling myself trickling & thought I was peeing on myself as I walked honestly. Try coughing & see if it seems to come out more. Every time I coughed or moved it felt like I had a trickle. This was all at 9 a.m. & I finally convinced the nurse to check me at 1 & sure enough my vagina was filled with amniotic fluid. You might just have to go in to get swabbed & checked.

When mine broke with my daughter I was sleeping and got a little wet I thought I just peed so got up changed my sheets and took a shower..I laied back down a a bit later it happened again so did the same routine thinking babay was on my bladder laid back down a third time and it happened again so I called and they told me to come in..it turned out to be my water but never started labor on my own...I would call ...good luck mam

Oh yeah, I'd like to add that I suffered through weeks of pre-term labor & only dilated to four despite having contractions 2 minutes apart. I still ended up having to be induced even after my water broke to make my contractions come on strong enough to dilate me. So water breaking doesn't always bring on labor.

A lot of times your baby's head will act as a plug, so if it is your water thats why you dont trickle down your leg. I would go in just to be tested.
