BABYWEARERS: Best Carrier for a 2 Year Old?

posted 3rd Feb
DD will be 2 in May. She's small, at MOST like, 24 lbs I'm guessing.

I have a WAHM-made wrap but it's starting to get uncomfortable.

What's the best carrier to get? I'd prefer one that I can wear her in for a while. I don't want another wrap, though.

Boba, Ergo ...something else?

Thanks!

Are they good for older kids? I know right now DD could go in one. Do you know the approximate weight limit on them?

I forgot I had those on my "maybe" list lol

No clue. I wore Chris in a ring sling until 2 and then he was too heavy. We had an Ergo, but neither of us liked it so I got rid of it. It might work for you though-- lots of people love the Ergo. Do you know how tall she is?

No   mom fail. I'll have to measure her later. She's short though, for sure

I will be able to use mine for Meg who will be nearly 3 and the new baby - not together though lol! Im not sure if its down to individual makers or not but the average i have found online seems to be 35lbs

A woven wrap would be best and you could do a back carry with it

I swear by Ergo and the Mei Tai I made. If I had to choose between those two, I always go for the Mei Tai. It's more comfortable, not bulky, and it fits my almost 4 year old (about 32 pounds) perfectly!

ETA:
Here is my page if you want to check them out... $45 if I supply the fabric, or $25 if you supply the fabric. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Amalies-Creative-Closet/116640238387987
