Not finding out...

posted 3rd Feb
So I think we have pretty much decided not to find out the sex of the baby until birth. I dont want to know until birth but hubby is less patient than I am. However,I think I have him convinced. I worry that my doctor will accidently tell me, though. Anyone have that happen?

Also, im just looking for opinions on a couple names.

Eliza Isabelle
&
Cameron David (I know Cameron is common, its literally the only name my husband and I both like, though.)

Also, purely coincidental but all three of our boys would have C names. Is that too weird? I personally dont think the names sound alike, though. It just seems like all the boys names we like start with that letter for some reason.... :/

I like the boy name and I don't think it's weird for all the boys to have the same first initial. I think the girl name sounds a little redundant. A lot of "L" and "Z" sounds. Not for me. But I like both of the names individually.

I think they're pretty respectful if keeping sex a surprise. But I would tell then at the beginning of every apt. ESP the ultrasound techs!!! On a baby story once, the delivering OB was very excited to deliver a "surprise" baby.

I love Eliza.

I agree but Eliza is my favorite name and we are using Isabelle because we used to watch Braveheart all the time in middle school and Isabelle is the princess from that movie.

Awe that's awesome! Stick to it-it's so worth the excitement. I'm pregnant with our second surprise baby! The OB was good with our US, she asked both times if we wanted to find out and was very respectable. Your names are so cute too-good luck!

I like your names! And this baby is a surprise baby too. We found out with our oldest 2, so this is my first experience on "team green." What's funny is that we have one or two ultrasounds every month with this one (due to a heart defect), so we've had sooooo many temptations to find out afterall. However, most doctors and techs ask if we're finding out prior to starting the u/s, and if they don't, I just tell them that we're keeping it a surprise so they don't slip up. I'm at 27 weeks now, and after about 5 or 6 different ultrasounds, no one has spoiled it.

Well then use it. It's still a cute name.

I'm wanting a surprise baby. Lol but not until I've had one of each...

My mil said they accidentally told her, but she makes a lot up... Lol.

How's your milk supply? Any better? Have you felt better?

I like both of the names!

We had two surprise babies!!! We made sure to let the ultrasound tech now at the beginning of each ultrasound that we didnt wabt to know the sex. She would tell us before starting the ultrasound that she would refer to baby as "he" (as in his heart or his brain) but that was just to make it easier. The only thing you really have to worry about is if the put the wand down and baby exposes him/herself! Our tech also said they do not right the sex down in the file so none of our OB's even new. We had some eager people waiting to find out lol.

With my first we really had no preference. And I really had no gut feelings. Hubby said right before he was delivered he felt that it was gonna be a boy. When he was delivered the ob held him up and I got to yell "ITS A BOY!!!". So much fun!!

With my second I had lots of girl feelings at first but really wanted a girl so maybe that was why. During my hospital.stsy I just knew we were having another boy because there was just no way I could get that lucky. No one in my family has a biological child of both sexes I even had to give myself a pep talk so I wouldnt act dissappointed when we delivered our second son lol.

So baby was born and placed on my chest and I looked down and... .

the cord was in the way!!!

So I yelled (literally the first thing my child heard mommy say) "WHAT DID I GET???"

And everyone laughed. And the midwife said "oh sorry. I forgot you didnt know. ITS A GIRL!!!"

And the I cried. A lot!!!!

But it was so worth the wait. Both of my kids were born in three pushes.... maybe I was just super eager to get them out and see who they were!!

It think my supply is getting worse. For a couple days it was boosted back up, and now it seems worse than before. It doesn't help that LO is on a nursing strike. I introduced a cup yesterday in hopes that it will help. I still feel like smurf, though. Im hoping when I reach that 12-week mark things will improve.

I like Eliza and Isabelle, but not together. Cameron David is nice, but I think it would make your daughter feel left out because she is the only child without a "C" name (if that bothers you).
