Feel like I am loosing hope.

My Husband is a U.S. Marine and is deployed right now. Before he deployed we hit 1 year TTC and went to see the Doctor. We found out that I am healthy and there is nothing wrong with me. But we did find out he has low sperm count and low mobility. The Doctor said since he was leaving they couldn't help us much more and that our year of TTC would have to start all over once he returns. Well I went in to talk to her and she said that all the tests I could have done to me at this point came back good and so did my physical. But my Husband needs to get a physical and give another sample when he comes home.
Well I started looking for things to help him out and ran across Fertilaid for Men. I heard great things from it so I told him he should give it a try. I bought 3 months worth and sent it to him and he has been talking them since he got them. So when he comes home he will be ending his 3rd month on them. I am hoping that when he goes in to get his 2nd analyst things will be up and that his physical will come up healthy.
Where we live it's a 8 hour round trip to the fertility clinic they would want to send us to. But that means he has to go to the other base that's 6 hours round trip away to even get a referral to the clinic. And I don't think we have the money for those drives, or the time in his case to do so. There is a 1-6 month wait for IUI, and a 12-18 month wait for IVF at this clinic. I feel like if this Fertilaid stuff doesn't work after adding Countboost and Mobilityboost to it after he comes home that we are just going to give up until he gets stationed somewhere else that is closer to the places we need to go to that will help us.
I am really hoping we don't have to use donor sperm, or have to adopt (there is nothing wrong with either of those, I just know we both want to be able to conceive and have our own).
I just don't know how to stay positive with knowing what's wrong and that we have to wait before we can be helped. I know if they find something during his physical they will end up doing something about it right away but I just don't think they find anything. I am literally scared to death that nothing will help and I have no clue why I am like this! Usually I am very positive and always think "oh we will get pregnant fast after he gets home". I do know that I am taking it hard that it is him and not me. I feel like if it was me it was be easier. I am temping and that's it. I feel like I shouldn't waste money if I can find out ovulation with temping because I am very regular so OPKs will just end up being a waste. And he took it really hard it was him, but is taking it better and only sees that if he takes the Fertilaid it will help and we will get pregnant. I know he doesn't loose sleep or worry about it like I do.
Has anyone used Fertilaid for Men? Anyone have any suggestions for me at all for any of this?

I've read that some vitamins help improve sperm. Maybe you could look into him trying that too?
It took my mom around 10 years to get pregnant with my little brother, not saying it will take you all that long, but don't give up hope! It WILL happen for you one day!

It sounds like you need to take a deep breathe and try to relax. You guys are aware that the more stressed out you get, the lower his sperm count will get, right? Same with your reproductive organs. There have been studies showing that the more couples try to conceive and the more they get stressed, the less likely they are to conceive at all. This is the main reason you need to relax.

Second of all, focus on one thing at a time. You're already thinking way ahead of the game. You're already wondering what might happen in the future if this fertility stuff doesn't work and quite honestly that's not accomplishing anything. Cross that bridge when you get to it, you know? In the mean time stop focusing on it. For all you know you could be wasting emotion and energy on something that might never come to fruition. This stuff he's taking might work just fine, especially if you stop stressing yourselves out.

I know TTC can be really exhausting and stressful when there aren't any results but it's one of those things where you have to let go of control sometimes. Just sit back, enjoy the fact that your husband will be home soon. It's great that you've taken initiative but give this treatment a little time to work before worrying yourself with what comes next.

my husband took those pills - he never really had issues, but figured it wouldn't hurt. Does he smoke? wear tighty-whiteies? Increased stress can affect that as well. It sounds like it could be very promising and that these home remedies could be all that's needed. I'm surprised that you need to go to a fertility clinic for this, my normal OB does all this at our local clinic. any lab could do a sperm analysis

Also Derp, I am stressed...normally I am not the deployment has just been horrible to me. I am hoping I go back to not stressing when he comes back. And I am a huge future planner and really need the lay low on dong it.Thank you so much!

I know they say B6 is a good vitamin and also folic acid helps. Fertilaid has these vitamins in it. Just watch not to give him anything with vitex in it because it can harm the sperm. I thought vitex was a good vitamin but only for a woman. I am gonna look into our problem too. I am almost certain I have PCOS so I know I have a problem but with this I still have regular cycles mostly and ovulate almost on a monthly basis so I don't know whats up with that. But with my husband I think he too has low sperm or low testosterone which can lead to low count and motility. Even though nothing is wrong with you take prenatal vitamins. Those will help your system get ready for baby. And I have read that fertilaid is usually working really well in the system after using for 3 months. So GL and lots of baby dust for when he returns.

Thank you! I have been talking prenatals since the time he started fertilaid. I don't think that it has vitex so we are good on that. I hope you find out what is going on soon so you can start doing something about it. Baby dust!

Thank you. I hope so too. I'm starting to really think my husband has low testosterone. He has a lot of the symptoms. As for me I'm more sure now that I have PCOS. So I know what's wrong with me. The only question my doc needs to find the answer to is how bad is it. I don't think it's that bad because I don't have the pains like most women with PCOS. Plus I have been ovulating so who knows. It's frustrating. But I hope you get preggo the very first cycle once he comes home.

I am hoping so too! Crossing my fingers that it will happen. Well I know I thought something was wrong with me and all the test came back saying there wasn't. So it could be anything. Keeping you in my thoughts and hoping you find out real fast what is wrong.

Me too. I think AF is coming today. I'm feeling some cramping. So I guess that is a good thing since I calculated me starting today from the day I thought i ovulated. So maybe my PCOS isn't so bad to mess with my ovulation. But we shall see.
