tax $vent

My friend told me they are only getting $1500 back for taxes and her bf is paying off his loan for $600 and spending $800 on a surround sound... She's furious cuz they agreed on splitting what was left after the loan was paid. But since she found out that her sons Disability was approved and he will receive his back pay ($2100) around the same time he expects to be able to keep all the money and make her get what they need for house and whatnot wit sons check....

The check is to take care of bills and stuff also but she can't spend the money on herself and she needs clothes she has nothing decent at all!!!! She only had t-shirts and sweat and PJ pants.

She asked me what I think she should do but idk what to tell her...

tell him to smurf off and give her the $400!..that money is for her son and to make sure he has a roof over his head and clothes on his back not money to just spend!....

If the guy did end up buying, I would return it and keep the money. F that! If he is gonna be selfish so will I.

I couldn't imagine spending that much on surround sound. Especially if you have kids. Its her tax money to so they should split it

You said boyfriend. Did he claim her? Did she file her own taxes?

I would be telling him that I hope a $400 surround sound would be good enough because I would be taking the $400 that he owed me.

Then he needs to cough up the $400. If they are living together raising kids together and sharing the bills and responsibilities of the household then its half hers. Is he getting a paper check or direct deposit? If its direct deposit is she on the bank account?

Ya its direct deposit and she says shes the only one with a bank card but she just don't want probs with him spazzing...

$800 is insane

I was there when she tried he just said he's not taking all the money there will be $29 left... I wanted to knock him on his ass! She just cried... Said she's done she's kicking him out and we went in her room
