Quoting E.P. Mom:" Granted, our house is small, BUT even if we were to live in a larger place, we would still spend the ... [snip!] ... up together watching something on tv. I'm glad we have a smaller place, I think it helps us stay closer and more intimate   "

see, he had lived in my old place for awhile, and we had to be in the same space all the time, so we were. but now with the 3 stories, and everything being spread out, i don't know how it'd be possible to be doing the kid's stuff our own stuff all together when nothing is in the same room. unless we decided to just watch TV on the couch all the time. or he followed me while i cleaned.
i mean, he could spend more time with us doing kid stuff when at home, but choose to be doing his man-crap.

I will say probably 2 hours a day because DH is generally on his computer, BUT the kiddos play in the basement which is where DH's computer is. We have a two story house and I like to spend my time upstairs because of the sunlight and the kitchen is right there and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I work during the day and DH works at night so we really only see each other for like 20 mins when I get home and then about an hour and a half when he gets home at night. I love it outside so when it's warm out I am outside with the kiddos while DH is a hermit inside.

It was more like this when we had a bigger house and my husband had his "man cave", but we also weren't married then, so I don't know what difference that would have made. Luckily we like having a small house, so he has no choice but to be around me, hahah

Jaidis' dad and I lived in a small single story housr and hardly evrr spent any time together still. He was playing world of war craft an Dr crap 90% of the time unless I begged him to watch a movie or go for a walk. So and I live in a small space also, but even of we had a mansion we love to go for walks and be out of the house together. I know it doesn't exactly apply, but..

Quoting KNZ.:" do you having a living room type space on each floor? "
Sort of...

Upper floor has a bathroom and 3 bedrooms - one is a library/my office/sitting room
Main floor is the dining room and kitchen, but there is a little sitting area at the end of the dining room
Two steps down from the main floor is our living room, my daughter's bedroom, laundry room, and a bathroom
Basement has his office, rec room, cold room and storage area.

Quoting Mrs. God of Thunder:" ....interesting....."

Yeah, I've explained in a few other posts....my husband is polyamorous (the pickiest poly I've ever heard of) and I'm monogamous.

He is on his third date with this girl he has liked for a couple of years....this is the first person that he has expressed interest in in the 11 years we've been together.

Hmm.. interesting. He dates other while you stay monogamous to him only? I'm just genuinely curious, I don't mean to pry, I promise.

Pretty much. We do almost everything together. If we need to do laundry ( if I don't have it done) we do t together, make dinner together, watch tv together, play with the kids together.

You aren't prying! Yes, that is the gist of it.

I have no desire to have another relationship, he feels he has more love to give.

Sorry, I am just now getting back..

Has he always been poly? Before you two married? And it doesn't bother you in the least? Again, curiosity is peaked.

No problem lol.

Yes, he has known since he was 12 or 13 when he had his first girlfriends. He was with one of them for 4 years and the other on and off for 3 years.

It doesn't bother me at all. At first, it wasn't something that I was okay with, but the more I thought about it and the more I researched it, the more it made sense for our family.

That makes sense. As long as you and your family are all okay and happy, that is all that matters.
