Could it be colic?

posted 2nd Feb
My son is 8 weeks old, Monday. He's drank Gerber Good Start Gentle formula since birth. For the first month, he was fed formula and breast milk. For the past week, his gas after feeding has been getting worse.

At least once a day(sometimes multiple), he will have a fit because of the pain. We have to jiggle, bounce, pat, etc...for an hour or more to get him to burp and feel better. I have tried gas drops and today I bought some gripe water, but I'm not home tonight so I can't tell if you it works or not.

We use Dr. Browns bottle, which are supposed to help..But he still gets air and the bottle makes it to where it is harder to get the small amounts of air out.

Does this sound like colic or normal baby behavior?

He just sounds like a baby who takes a bit to burp. My friend's baby was colic and he cried alllllllll the time. Nothing settled him at all.

I'm glad to know that. It's just strange because it seems like it's happening every night and even sometimes during the day, when....Nothing has changed. He still drinks an ounce and is burped. But....5-10 minutes after he finishes a bottle at night, he's screeching and it takes a lot of passing back and forth between my husband and I, or my mom, and dad to get him to burp.

Might be silent reflux. That causes really bad fussiness after feedings...especially at night. My daughter had that and my son too.
