RED CHEEKS

my 15 month old has had some really red cheeks lately. its not constant but it comes and goes. i took him to daycare on thursday and before i was even able to walk out they stopped me bc they were so concerened about his cheeks. they questioned if he had fifths disease (slap cheek) i told him that its probably bc he was just in his car seat with a jacket and a beanie on, and he was throwing a little fit. i ended up having to take him home, but by the time i got home his cheeks were pink still, i put him down for a nap and when he woke up his cheeks were back to normal. i still took him to the doctor but he was fine. he is getting over bronchitis and is on his last days of antibiotics for an ear infection.

any ideas on what is going on?

My toddler does that when he is teething. Has he got any molars in yet?

My daughters cheeks get really dark red. It also comes and goes.

he has all 4 of his first molars. he doesnt let me look inside his mouth to see if there are any more coming in, i wouldnt doubt that there are more coming, its been a couple weeks since he has gotten new ones.

his cheeks never use to get red like this until recently though...

Might be his "eye" teeth then? LO got his molars and eye teeth right after. Maybe you can take a peek while brushing his teeth?

But like someone else said...some kids just have rosy cheeks sometimes.
