ugh it's just annoying that I told her so many times that I would paint it myself (to avoid the "you can't spray paint a crib!" argument), I'm even worried she'll try to paint it before I say that I'll just take it.

ugh. maybe I need to find her something she can be involved in.

is it one that you can take apart and put back together if so I would just take it apart and store it in a closet or under your bed until you can set it up

I think it is, I'm thinking that I'm just going to take it and keep it in my grandmother's attic for now.

Thats probably the best bet I would just go pick it up then figure it out after atleast you know she can't destroy it in the mean time

I would just tell her that I am paranoid as Smurf to use those certain kinds of paint...and am in a nesting phase...and that I wouldnt feel satisfied unless I physically did it. Its a legit part of pregnancy...she should understand.

I really just don't know how to go about things like this without offending her. I already hold back a lot just to spare her feelings. *sigh* I guess at least I do have pregnancy to blame, so I guess I gotta take advantage of it while I still can.

My relationship with them is very... odd... I guess, since he's not my biological dad, he just kind of stepped in as that role when he married my mom, which already is more than I could have asked from him. I just try really hard to make him feel as awesome as he is bc he's legitimately the most selfless person I've ever met. So I hate to be the person to put him in the middle of an awkward situation like that.

his only kid was my little brother.  
but his girlfriend has two daughters. One of them has a daughter and they both live with them.

hahah how old was your what to expect book? I got the one my mom had when she was pregnant with me. I think I read up until about 10 weeks then did the rest of my reading online lol
