I do too until the seat is 2+ years old and looks awful from PT accidents and food spills on cross country trips, etc.

The fluffy ones stain so so badly. His red one looks perfect!

Just wash often and you should be okay. We travel a lot and I can't always take it out, remove cover, wash, air dry, replace, reinstall, etc whenever I want, so it sometimes waited a few days (I spot cleaned as best I could), but my light gray one stained and my red one looks new (gray = 2yrs, red = 1.25yrs)

Is it easy to take the cover off? That's what I hate about our Eddie bauer seat. I break my freaking fingers every time I have to wash that thing. I hate cleaning that seat.

Easy as pie and it goes back on snug and doesn't have constant slippage (which i hated about my evenflo seats.
