Awesome smurfing timing... as usual.

I have an audition this Saturday for the voice... as well as my cousins wedding that I'm supposed to sing in. I now have tonsillitis, a sinus infection and a severe inner ear infection in my left ear. I can't even talk much less sing... I've been on antibiotics for 3 days and feel worse now than ever. I'm so bummed... I really thought this was FINALLY going to be the year, but if I don't see some major improvement I'm screwed. My audition is already at 7 am, and for those of you who sing know that is not good anyways, but now to add all this illness on top? BLAH.

just rest, and try not to speak as much as you can. I had tonsillitis got a z-pack and was completely better in 2 days but kept taking the meds till they were gone (5) days. I had it so bad my left tonsil was touching the right side of my mouth!

A week isn't long at all. It'll take at least a month before my voice is back to "normal"

@Bonnie Beaver I sent in a video last year but it was two days late (thank you postal system) so I got a call back telling me to come out next year in person because I had the voice to go "all the way" but being late is "incredibly unprofessional"

I've wanted to try out for the longest time.

I wish I had been all there to ask for a zpack... she gave me some weird kind of amoxocilian... it's like three different medications in one. She also gave me codeine cough syrup that makes me really itchy.

I was supposed to be auditioning on Sunday, but they cancelled the Sunday audition and combined everything on Saturday... Saturday is my cousins wedding 4 hours away in which I'm the maid of honor. So that's why I'm auditioning at 7 a.m. It's shaping up to be a disaster, but I'm going for it anyways. If this doesn't work out there's always xfactor

Call back and let her know you are allergic to some of the meds and see if you could get a z-pack

If I don't see some serious improvement by Monday I'm definitely calling back for a zpack. I just googled it and the Amox Tr-K is for "severe" sinus infections. That makes me feel a little bit better now that I know that it's not just plain old amoxocilian. The mind is a powerful thing.. Maybe now I'll actually start feeling better

I've always LOVED singing. haha. One thing I'm good at.

I'm pretty sure all the auditions are closed for the voice... you have to register first and sign up for a designated spot... that's the reason I was attracted to it was because it's not a cattle call like x factor or american idol. American idol starts auditions in the summer and I'm pretty sure xfactor starts soon as well.
