what to expect at 36 week app.

Ok I will be 36 weeks on the 12. I was just wondering what to expect at my app on that day. I have not made it this far with my other pregnancy so not sure what is goin to be done. If anyone could give me some pointers that would be great.

they started my internals that week and then i had her two weeks later lol

All the usual stuff and they'll probably check your cervix, so wear pants and shoes that are easy to slip on and off.

At mine, my doctor checked my cervix, bp, urine, and weight. Also had the strep b test done.

That's the last appt I had with either of my older kids  

thanjs everyone. i have bot ever had the strep b test, so what should i expect to be done with that. i know my doc is going to also be putting me on the calender then for my c-section. he is wanting to do the surgery at the end of the month so that i do not run the risk of a uterine rupture.

you get a swab up your who ha and they send it to the lab if you are postive they give you antibiotics at birth but i was negative and still had antibiotics for my c section

They just did the usual and started checking me internally for the first time.

36 weeks was the last appointment with baby #1. So far, baby #2 is still baking.  

my first first baby i did not make it past 33 weeks so these last few weeks are all new to me and i do not now what to expect other than knowing that i am going to be having a c-section because my first one was an emergency one and my OB is affraid to let me have a VBAC

strep b test they just swab the outside of your vagina opening and anal opening

I will be having mine 2 days before I turn 36 weeks which they consider my 36 weep appt. well, he told me I would be having the group b strep test done, as well as checking again to make sure he is still head down, and he will be cervical checks for dilation. I am not sure if they will do anything else, but so far this is what I am expecting.
