I get what you are saying, but in this it would seem, if it was for something she was (black, model, etc) it would be a hate crime. It could have been a jealous ex-boy friend dressing up like that so he wouldnt be known. Not the first time it has happened.
Regardless I hope her wounds heal and she does not scar.

I was thinking more along the lines of your society is smurfed because you show your face and we think it's wrong. Kinda like Westboro Baptist Church But that was honestly just my first thought, likely because of the way everything was worded in the article. I mean there was pretty much NO details about the offender other than that she wore a hijub and they mentioned it several times.

Obviously none of this was the case though, this was just my assumption based on the vague article.

It could have been. At the same time there are more muslims who do not cover their face than do. I would expect someone of that mentality to do it to someone of their own family first. The article is very vague, but I guess they don't have much to go on. The article states it's already been a month so *i think* something would have surfaced by now (if they had anything I mean).
