bloody show?

posted 2nd Feb
My membranes were stripped around 2:30pm and about an hour later I started getting red/brown mucous discharge. I have been crampy ever since with inconsistent contractions, but I'm STILL having my bloody show. How long is this supposed to last??? I'm walking lots and went on a nice bumpy car ride, I've been using RRL and EPO, and had sex RIGHT after stripping my membranes. xP Is there anything else I could/should be doing to encourage labor???

Side note - I am trying to induce labor with the blessing of my midwife because the perinatologist wants to induce me at 39 weeks and I'm trying to avoid that. :/ I'm 38w3d

Do you have a big ball you can bounce on?
If not, try sitting on the edge of the bed and lightly bouncing up and down for a bit. You can also try nipple stimulation. And having sex again. Maybe some squats too? I know when I squat down to pick something up, it goves me some intense contractions.

Other than that all you can do is twiddle your thumbs and wait, haha.
