When is the cut off date that an employer needs to have W2's out to their employee's?

January 31 they needed to be mailed.

30th or 31st

My husband said something about employers having an extension until Feb 2nd this year? I'm not sure how accurate that is, though.

I'm still waiting on two W2's. I called both places and both said they mailed them out on January 31st. So I'm expecting to have them by this Monday or Tuesday.
