Age 2-4, SAHM what's your weekly activity routine with LO?

Do you go with the flow or have a routine or even a schedule of what activities and things you do? What does your day/week look like if you're at home all day with your child aged 2-4 yrs? How often do you change what you do?

We don't really have a daily routine per say but I do make it a point to take her to a museum, park or science center at least once a week. I also try to set up a play date weekly. I have been pretty sick the last couple of weeks but have still been trying to get her out of the house.

We're pretty routine. We wake up, get ready, eat breakfast, and then we start school for my 4 year old. While she's doing something school-related, he's playing with play doh or whatever else (or sitting next to her coloring.) After we're finished with school stuff, we usually have story time & we pile on the couch and read books. After books the kids generally go play together and I clean up the school stuff, and make snack (by this time it's like 10-ish) So, snack time it is. After that we will generally go run our errands if possible. Come home for lunch. After lunch the 2 year old goes down for a nap and my daughter and I work on her 100 Easy Lessons book (learning to read). After that I do my "30 minute clean" time & she plays. After the boy wakes up we generally all play together for a while, sometimes they get one more snack if needed, and then it is usually time for me to cook dinner. That's petty much it!

eta: And then on days like Thursday we have a homeschool co-op, so that changes it up a bit & we volunteer for one of the homeless shelters. That kind of takes up most of our day. But on a normal day? The above is pretty standard. We have a pass to the state parks, science museum, and also go to the library a lot during the "errands" time.

We usually wake up, watch a bit of tv. ( we aren't morning people lol) cook and eat breakfast. then do some chores, make sure everything is clean. We play a bit, read, do numbers and letters. Play a few word and number games on the iPad. If its nice out we do a play date le stay home and ride bikes. Eat lunch, play with daddy a bit. And then the rest of the evening we do whatever. He's 3 by the way, and we really don't have a set schedule. My DH works from 3pm- 2 am so we really just do whatever.

We. Follow a semi routine i guess youcould say. Ive got a 4 year old, 2 year old, and a4 month old. So i get up whenever my 4 month old gets up, usually between 7 and 8, feed and change and set her up with toys, get the other kids up, change two year olds diaper, take four year old potty, and give them breakfast, usually cereal. Watch the sunny side up show on Sprout and play with toys (while i'm BGing it up lol), until lunch time. Feed Zoey her bottle, then fix the older kids lunches. Then let them play a little more and depending on his mood, might lay DS for a nap. Sometimes i'll takr them to play in the back yard at this time. Then juet play until dinnertime. Feeding the LO as needed throughout the day. After dinner, baths. Then a little more t.v. on Sprouts goodnight show before bedtime. Brush teeth, say prays and kiss them goodnight. Our days are prettty boring and really run into eachother. But we try to take them to the park once a week.

Excuse my lazy typing, mobile.

I feel like i'm being swallowed up by depression and our days can run too, i'm a single mama and DS is home alone with me so no buddy to play with. I'm wondering how far from 'normal' we are atm and if a routine of some sort would help me to maintain things.

If your child didn't have siblings home to play with during the day how often would you think they should be having play dates or going to a class or something? Do any of you do mommy & me classes or toddler playgroup type things?

When it was just my daughter, we did relatively often. We were involved in a few church "groups" that we met with two or three times a week where she got to play with kids, we also went to story time once a week.

If i only had 1, i would probably take them to the story time at tje library once a week, and the park twice a week. Dont have any friends with kids close to me anymore. I wouldnt do mommy and me classes. I feel too Socially awkward i guess lol. Did swim lessons for DD1 this past summer and that was awkqard enough.
