If the letter requiring you to send in all your info is from the department of children and families then more than likely they will cancel your fs that has actually happened to me before . You could always call the 800 number on the back of your card or go down to the local office to confirm ..

You have to submit everything they ask for or you will loose your fs as well.

if it is financial assistance through social services/welfare then yes you will lose your food stamps as well if you don't comply with everything they ask. You can simply call and say you would like to close the financial assistance.

well I just read the paper again and it is in fact just for Financial and medical/food stamps will not be affected by it.
