Breastfeeding with 2nd baby, but not the first...

posted 2nd Feb
I'm not sure what Forum to put this in but i need some advice.
With my son i did not produce milk at all, so i could not breastfeed him.
I'm 27 weeks pregnant with my 2nd little boy & i have started lactating for a couple weeks, so i take it that i am actually producing this time! I was wondering if any mommies didnt breastfeed their first but tried with their 2nd. If so, How did it work out for you?

I quit with my first at 2 weeks. Made it to 9/10 months with my second. I had supply issues but we battled through them.

Did u bf your first at the hospital? At first you have colostrum
And not much at all. But their Tummies are tiny so they dont need a lot. But then key is just to put baby to breast as much as possible to trigger your milk.

yes, I didnt make anything at all, i had like 3-4 different lactation nurses in & they all tried. I didnt even have clostrum or anything. But i think this time may be different bec im actually lactating.

Kind of in the same boat. I only breast fed dd for 3 weeks, with this one there's no cant in my dictionary.Im going to buy things for nursing including the teas that help with producing milk. This time I won't be scared to call the lactational nurse.

I didn't breastfeed DS1 at all. He was in NICU and by the time I was able to put him to the breast he wouldn't latch. DS2 is 7 months and EBF. I had no problems starting up.
