War is a necessary evil.

I don't like or believe in religion but I understand it has its appeals to others. Getting rid of religion creates the necessity for a new cover and leaves millions of people lost and confused about life.

Hebrew laws, including the 10 Commandments, were based off of the Code of Hammurabi.

What does that have to do with religion?

Laws were around before religion or did you just skim past that???

Man made laws exist. God's laws are perfect. The world would be a better place if God's laws were followed, not ignored by what the world seems to think are "better" laws.

World peace will not come until God cleans house. Man CANNOT be good/moral/perfect until that happens.

The battles we have are spiritual in nature, until Satan is finished claiming his and God has claimed His.

I was about to mention the believed very fisrt set of rules of commandments. Nothing to do with religion.

As far as answering the OP... no... human beings are very conflictive. There's always something to fight over. Religion is one of the things to fight over but I'd risk to say that the thing humans fight the most over for would be power. I could be wrong.

In Matthew Jesus says, "He who is not with me is against me." So, although it is certainly unpleasant to think about. According to God's word there are only two "sides".

I think there are a lot of good people by the world's standards. They treat people kindly, they give to the poor, they are good parents, they are good friends -- etc. Good people. But the world's standards and God's standards are different. So, even with those seemingly "good" things, our hearts are still wicked without Him. If there are truly only two masters, as Jesus says, then you can only serve one of them. So, people are either serving Christ of Satan -- whether they know it or not. It is something I struggle with, because I'd like to think people are mostly good -- but if I really believe God's word, it says otherwise. The good news is that God's grace far exceeds the wickedness of our hearts, there's a phrase that says, "We can't out-sin God's grace."

I really wouldn't concern myself with what Christians seem to think, to be honest. Unfortunately most are too far up on their high horse to realize that they're sinners all the same. I think "we" forget where we came from before we were saved. What matters is what God thinks, and His love is immeasurable. I know He loved me when I was contently sitting in my sin and claiming that He didn't exist.

I don't contently sit in my 'sin' ... my belief system leads me to do good and make up for any discretions I cause in the universe. Most of them are considered the same as those in Christianity ... we however don't believe that love is a sin. I just find it sad that apparently Ghandi and many other great humanitarians are supposedly burning in hell for the sin of believing in a more peaceful religion than Christianity.
