I wouldn't go overboard. You barely know her. Maybe some diapers too at MOST.

If you feel like its not enough, just add a pack of diapers. Seems plenty enough  

Definitely not. A gift is a gift, she should be grateful for you bringing anything. It is a shower, but IMO expecting gifts is just tacky.  

How close is your husband to his cousin?

I don't think so. When DH and I went to his high school best friend's baby shower I just got them a pack of diapers, wipes, plain onesies, socks, and a few other small hand toys. I spent like $60-70? at the most and they were shocked that we even purchased that much since I didn't know them. I just met them 2 months prior, only hung out with them once.

No not at all. I know lots of people that only get an outfit from people that are close to them. Its not about how much you get them and how much you spend. IM sure they will appreciate everythiing, adn they will have more than enough!

maybe get a pack of diapers to go with it. a person can always use those!

Thanks, ladies! I may stop and grab a small pack of diapers on the way if I have time. I was trying to think back to what people brought to my shower but it's been 4 years and I can't remember lol.

Usually for all baby showers I go to where I'm not really close to the person, I get a pack of newborn pampers swaddlers, a thing of sensitive wipes, and a little outfit.

Not close at all. My husband doesn't even attend his family gatherings. I only go because I think the kids deserve to know both sides of their family. He thinks most of his relatives are losers though.
