I always stick to basics unless I am close with the person. Like I said before diapers, onesies, socks, pacis if they have them on the registry, soaps, creams, all of the stuff they will go through quickly and likely always need back up of.

I think your gift is fine and that she will appreciate you coming since you don't know her that well anyway.

I think your gift is perfect considering how well you know them. But I always throw in a pack of bigger (everyone gets newborn or size ones and babies dont wear them long) diapers, like size 3, and a pack of wipes as well. You can never have too many diapers and wipes.
