Extended rear facing.

posted 2nd Feb
Christopher is still rear facing and he's about to be 3 on Feb 9th. Wanted to share a cute pic of him in his Graco Size4Me 70 that we just bought him. He's on the 3rd slot so he's got a while to go. He's only 28.5 pounds.

I'll be RF'ing DD until she reaches the weight limit! I'm getting her a Radian RXT as soon as our tax money comes in.

Yeah, I'm super duper excited, haha. I'm like a carseat safety nazi. I get on all of my friends/families nerves.

I didn't ERF with my son, but when we have our next baby I plan to do it.

Something I've wondered though, about the older kids. How does it work with their legs? Do they just keep them up like that?

That looks lovely and comfy   DS is 6 months older and he's 38 lbs and very tall. I've FF him a couple of times because i haven't had the tether straps, but i'm hoping to RF him as long as possible really. On his current growth curve he should fit till age 5. I don't have my own car just now so we only use one maybe 3x a month. Our European cars are not built to fit ERF seats so i can barely fit my long legs squeezed at the dash in the front passenger seat with him in the back

Sometimes he keeps them up on the back seat, sometimes he crosses them Indian style, and other times he just keeps them like he has them in the picture. Toddlers/infants are super flexible. He LOVES riding like this and throws fits when he rides forward in my Moms car.

Wow he's super tiny. I plan on rear-facing until at least 2, or the 33-lb limit of our seat, unless we can afford a higher weight limit one by then.

Thank you. Chris thinks so too

Awesome to rear facing until 5. That's our goal, actually. I hope we make it. The rate he's going, I'm sure we will. What seat do you guys have?

Yes, he's tiny, for sure. Petite and slender. Lol. Kid is skin and bones. I promise I feed him..he's just built tiny, I guess.

Until at least two. We have a radian so no worries about limits being reached for a long time.

I didn't with my first. He was turned at 1.5 due to some weird circumstances. I plan to with my now 10 month old, though. I may be getting her a new car seat tomorrow.

Their knees are not normally up so high like that. They normally look more like this
