Thursday I went in for an interview at The Bay. When I was searching for a job, I was really over reaching for the position I applied for, because I'm 'qualified' for it (book training), but I have never had any real work experience. Needless to say, she didn't hire me.
I left and then got a call back from another department in the store asking if I wanted to go in for an interview Saturday (today), I thought it was odd because I didn't apply for the positions but I agreed and went in. She offered me a full time position as 'team leader' in women's wear, and I am stoked! I honestly thought I would only be offered a position as a cashier or w/e. lol
I had to quit my job at the bridal store because I was going crazy and only making 12/h. No vacation time, no benefits, no discounts, etc. My boss was also very passive aggressive towards me, and I'm not even sure why.
But now at my new job, I didn't have to take a pay cut I actually make .50 cents more. I get 3 weeks paid vacation, 10% off all HBC purchases, Dental and medical coverage. Schedules are made for 4 weeks at a time, and they cannot change the days I work. Sooooooooooooo excited.
