To potty train or not to potty train, that is the question
posted 2nd Feb
I don't know what to do with my youngest. He's obsessed with the potty. Asks to go at least 10 times a day. Right now I let him go every time I'm changing his diaper. And now he's regularly peeing every time I put him on it. Not witholding pee and waiting for the potty, but forcing a trickle out every time. He's only 18 months. Totally mentally interested in potty training, but I don't really think he's physically there yet. Seems crazy to me to potty-train an 18-month-old, but I don't want to screw it up by not paying attention to his signs either...thoughts???

Give it a shot. Try the 3,3,3 rule...have him use the potty every 3 hrs, sitting on it for 3 mins, for 3 days...if he isn't having accidents by the end of 3 days them he's ready

It's never too early. My mom potty trained all 3 of us by -
12 months.

I have a few friends that had their LOs potty trained a little after a year old.

My LO is nearly 100% Potty Trained and he is going to be 14 months this week. So if your LO is interested then go for it. We did the Elimination Communication technique and it worked very well for my LO.
