People get so offended by how I dress my daughter.

posted 2nd Feb
I find it to be a little funny.
We have several outfits that I put her in that would be considered "boy" outfits.
For example a Spider Man onesie that she wears with blue jeans and a Sons of Ararchy onesie that she wears with jeans.
I didn't think twice about it until taking her around people.
They just get all in a fuss when I tell her that she's a girl.... don't you know I'm not suppose to dress her like that!!
People are so strange to me.
But then again maybe I'm the strange one.... ? ;P
Why do people seem to care about the little things so much when it comes to babies... especially OTHER PEOPLE'S babies?

My daughter wears what she likes. She has Cars shirts, dinosaur shirts, and other things. I don't care what other people think. She's expressing herself and I love it.

I dress my little girl in boy colors sometimes, People have called her a boy before, I just tell them she is a girl. Doesn't really bother me because I don't care what they think.

I want my daughter to do the same when she gets old enough to pick her own clothes.

I think it's crazy that someone would be upset by that. keep on what you're doing. no need to reinforce gender stereotypes anyways! People often assume my LO is a boy because she still has almost no hair at 2.5 and occasionaly likes boy clothes.

I get the same smurf from MIL because she wears a lot of pink floyd, etc. Pshha, her tennies are pink.

My husband calls my daughter "son" sometimes because of how I dress her. I'm not girly, and neither is she. I figure as long as we're comfortable, the clothes don't matter.

I shop for my daughters in the girls and in the boys sections of stores, because frankly, boy smurf is sometimes way cooler.
my daughter is obsessed with transformers, zombies and my little ponies. lol
I love it. I let people know when she was an infant that I wouldn't be forcing girl smurf on her and if they dont like it to keep it to themselves.

I had a pink Disney princess blanket draped over my daughter's car seat and people still ask if she is a boy. I am like WTF? Don't you see the pink?

Dress your kid how you want because in the end people are stupid.

I made it a point when I was pregnant NOT to buy anything at all that was pink because I knew everyone else would cover that. She looks great in Red. I just think she's adorable in non-traditional clothes. Maybe it's something to do with me living in the south (not sure if people are so nosey in other places) but people will stop me in the grocery store or anywhere else and ask a ton of questions about her and when they find out she's a girl they just freak if she's not all lacey and pink. It's annoying.

I make it a point to dress my daughter in gender permissive clothing.
