haha same here. I think the ratio of my daughter being called a boy to a girl is like 10 to 1 at least.

I've had people do that too. The first time I looked at the lady like she was an idiot and I had to catch myself and not be mean to her. lol I'm a smart ass when I'm sleep deprived...

People always think my kids are tend opposite sex that they are. My son, 6, has long hair down his back and enjoys evey color of clothing. And my daughter, 2, has almost no hair and wears what she wants as well, even if that's a pirate costume.

I just correct them and move on. I have had a few people tell me "cut that hair" or "pretty little girls should be wearing pretty little things". I just nod and laugh and go about my day. I like my kids the way thy are.

Even in my daughters pink carseat >.< but its all good to me because I dont need her being only told how pretty she is. I am totally ok with people using "male" adjectives to describe her... you know smart, strong fast

My daughter had a black tee shirt that said got milk? in white print like the ad slogan. And someone on the bus said I should never let a girl wear black. I was like, "Or what? She'll end up like me?" They did a double take and noticed I'm all in gothic style and they just left. Of course I don't dress her in ALL black like myself. She likes My Little Ponies, Hello Kitty, and anything with stars and rainbows. So yeah... they can suck it.

Also the mistaking gender thing? I had her in a pink onesie as an infant and someone asked why my son was in pink... some people are just smurfing idiots.

I took DD to the nursing home I work at the other day...she was dressed all in bright pink, in a pink floral carseat with a "Princess" cover. People still asked me if she was a boy or girl.

I saw a Batman onesie the other day and wanted to get it for her, but DH said no (not because it was Batman, but because of money). Why not? I'm a girl and I wear superhero shirts. I play videogames and like a lot of "boyish" things.

Everyone thinks DS is a girl because his hair is a tiny bit long even though I put him in "boy" clothes. Is annoying.

DD can have a giant bow on her head and people STILL ask if she is a boy or girl... people can be so dense. If I put her in something that is kinda boyish I just find a coordinating headband/bow to girly it up a little ;)

People do the same to my sister and her son. They ask his name and then say "HER name is Jackson?". Uh, no, HIS name is Jackson.

My DH does that if DD is wearing yellow and jeans and I just let the bitch out of her cage and go "you didn't have the right sperm for sons" (we have 2 DDs), he shuts up then.
