I'm thinkin dry skin...

posted 2nd Feb
But omg... the very moment I put my clothes on, I'm super itchy. I take my clothes off, thr itchiness subsides a little. I'm thinkin its either dry skin or my skin getting irritated by the clothes and laundry detergent. I'm no more "broke out" than I am normally, at least I haven't noticed and dh hasn't said anything since right after I had the reaction to the lobster. Now, my next appointment is next Monday... not day after tomorrow but next. I'm going to bring it up to her and see what she says. And I'm going to try a different detergent, see if that's part of it. The itching is driving me NUTS though!!! I can't go a day without my back or legs itching like crazy!!!! I may also change my body wash, see if THAT helps any. I know I had to with DS bc the body was I was using then broke me out (and has ever since...) any other tips???

I have never had dry skin until this pregnancy. I am not even joking when I say that my legs, back, and face itch to the point that they burn.

I have found the only thing that even remotely works to ease the pain/itchiness is Cetaphil.

It could also be a food allergy? I'd try changine the body wash and detergent for something nonscented and see if that helps first. I get that randomly and then it goes away... dunno why.

I am constantly itching, and I am only 9 weeks. Never itched with my other pregnancies, its SO annoying!

I don't use fragrant detergents, or scented lotions, because I do have allergies and sensitive skin. So its even more confusing as to where its coming from.

We use Arm and Hammer laundry detergent because of our dry and sensitive skin, it works pretty well and cleans clothes great. Have you tried any dry skin lotion? Don't they make some for newly/not often dry skin? Plus I like cetyphil also.

I've never tried that. I'll have to bc the itching is driving me crazy.

I hadn't either. It is way too expensive for my liking and it almost killed me to buy it but I am so glad I did!

I haven't eaten anything different since I tried lobster, and that was New Years. So I don't think its food allergies unless I've developed an allergy to cereal chicken or pork lol

How frequently do you bathe? If you can afford to or stand to, I might space it out more. Skip a day.

I have the Vaseline cocoa lotion for dry skin. Its amazing... but doesn't help as much as I hope. We will have to try the arm and hammer detergent. Is that H/E compatible? I'm sure most detergents are..

I alternate between every day and every few days. It depends on what I've been doing lol.

Oh, well that should be healthy as it is.   Do you use any lotions? I would recommend Curel or Aquaphor.
