Juggling two jobs and a toddler

I'm getting a second job. Each will give me 20-25 hours. So the weeks will end up being 40-50 hour weeks. Not bad, I've done 40 in one job, but surely it's a bit more tough with schedules being of two different places. How has this worked for you? Any Moms that do it now? Also, how should I split the schedule? I was thinking one place gets me Fri-Sun and the other place gets me Mon-Thur. I'll take ANY thoughts, ideas, or comments into hand. Please nothing to tear me down though. I have to do this for my family.

I'd try to have at least one day off a week. For the kids and your sanity.

That's the goal. I'm sure the place that gets me four days a week, won't work me all four days.

I had to do two jobs a while back but one was 28-30 hours a week and the other was 38+ hrs a week. The way i did it was i had my days off the same at both places, i worked my 1st from 9:30am-5/5:30 and then straight to my second from there and worked there until 2am. If it's possible IMO it was easier for me to work all week and then have days off at the same time so i could get the rest i couldn't while working and then spend time with my family too. With it only being 20-25hrs it won't be that bad. Are they doing short or long hours?

It'll be eight hour shifts both places so I'd assume I can't do both in one day because 16 hours would be a lot on me. But, like I said, even one day off a week, is fine with me.

Well then i'd do one from friday-sunday and then the other from monday-wednesday that way you have thursday off, or you could do it the way you originally said. My only advice is have a schedule so that you won't feel like everything is out of control. In the beginning it is going to be tiring but about a week or so into it it'll get better.

So making it where I have a day off would be smart, I assume. Maybe Monday be my day off. Work Tues-Thur one and Fri-Sun the other.

Yeah it honestly would, because if you didn't you would constantly feel tired and there isn't that day to recuperate, which when working 2 jobs you need.
