My point (since you missed it) is that if *I* have never had any ill feelings toward my infants (and I personally haven't experienced any ill feelings) am not supposed to set back & have any judgements about what a woman with PPD does/thinks/feels/says then a woman with PPD has then no place to judge someone with a different type of mental instability. That was my point.

I get it - Andrea hurt her child badly. It is easy to call her a monster because then we can all feel safe that we won't ever go that crazy & end up being monsters, but the fact is, you are mentally not well if you do what she did & PPD is just a different type of mental instability. I seriously don't have any judgements per se toward either. All I feel in the end is very very sad about the whole thing - babies whose mommas aren't tender & patient with them, parents who hurt & abuse their kids...all of it. It just makes my heart hurt & makes me think we could be doing so much better with mental health support in this country.
