Yay taxes.

posted 2nd Feb

Filed on the 24th, got approved last night, got Federal this morning. Yay. Don't really have many plans for it, but still nice to have it in the bank. Totally ordering UFC tonight.

They do every year. We always have it the first week of February. I thought it would be late this year, though. We filed later than normal, and the whole supposed delay thing. Ours is super simple and basic, though, so maybe that's why.

I just got approved lat night too, and it says mine will be in the bank on the 6th   We are getting a car, so I am pretty excited about it. Our car now is just to small for our growing family.

Awesome! Do you know what you want to get?
We had to upgrade, also, since I now have two convertible seats. We recently got a Nissan Cube, lol. I love it, but people give us weird looks about it, I think. Haha.

We got an email yesterday saying our federal is being deposited already. I was surprised we got it so quick, we filed on the 27th.

Not sure yet. I just want a bigger car, but DH is convinced we need either a Blazer, or an Explorer   I'm pretty sure we will end up with one of those, but I have no idea how we are going to pay for gas. Yeah, I would be one of those people who look at you funny   Those things are just weird looking lol.

uuuggghhh I'm so jealous. We filed on the 29th and I got an email today saying it's been delayed until mid Feb bc I have an education credit on there they aren't processing right away. It sucks too because this year we are getting an INSANE refund (one I never anticipated getting) and now I have to wait for the IRS to un-smurf themselves. In the meantime I had to PAY HR Block to deal with my mess. So now i'm out and I have to wait. POOP!

Oy. Full sized SUVs scare me, haha. I'm super small, so driving one isn't my thing. I can't park for smurf haha. Yeah, they are a little weird. But they have so much room in them, you'd be really surprised! And AMAZING on gas!

Good luck with the car hunt, though. And hope your taxes get there quickly!

Yeah, I've heard a few people IRL saying theirs are delayed to to school, also. Hopefully you'll get em sooner than anticipated, though. They told us by the 20th, which is what I was expecting. Sucks, huh? The IRS can delay all they want, and they pay zero late fees or anything like that. We go to H&R block, too. Thought about switching, but we've been seeing the same agent for years now. She knows our kids and all, so we'll continue to pay up the ass for her.

Hope things go well!

I'm short too, so I'm kinda ify on it lol. My car now is tiny, so parking is definately going to be a learning experience. I'm used to being able to squeeze in anywhere. DH is a big guy though, and he hates our car now. He is tired of being super cramped. He looks pretty funny driving around in it

Thanks so much doll. I agree. All well, I am just thankful to be getting a return! I should remember this money wasn't promised to me so not to expect anything anyway; but it sure was AMAZING seeing that number pop up! HR Block was so worth it for us this year. Usually we file on base. I never thought anything of it until more and more people kept saying they were getting dicked over there. So we tried HR Block and sure enough they are giving us like 4 grand on top of what base was going to. Unreal! So I left the last two years returns with HR Block to see if they can do better
