I agree it takes all the attention away from baby. Honestly the first thing I saw was the big ass bow and stunned for a cool minute then I looked at the cute baby but mostly the bow got all my attention.

I love bows, but sometimes they can be a little much. We have one that someone gave me for DD, she's 2 and I swear this thing is as big as her head. It's cute, but I thought it was wayyyy too much. I just took the clip off the back of it, hot glued a string of ribbon to it and it is now a bow holder.  

I love big bows!! She wears small ones too, basically whatever matches. Shes dosn't mind them at all, dont think she even knows they r on her head lol

I also made one kinda like this (DD's doesn't have the little hooks at the bottom)

I just took a big piece of cardboard, covered it with fabric, then put the ribbon on it and hot glued it on the back side. It was really easy and it's cute.
