I see how they could be useful at like a theme park or something....one time I saw this guy and in one hand he was walking his dog and on the other he had his son. Having the two together both "Leashed" was just weird to see....

I hate when you see a person jerking the kid around on the leash or being very agressive....def. think thats wrong.

I get some people like them... I don't knock people for it
but when you're dragging your kid by them... then you're smurfing just lazy

I never used one, if my kids could not walk nice next to me, or hold my hand then they either got worn or went in their stroller.

I would not use them. In my opinion if your kids are jerks and won't listen to you lea e them at home until they do.

i had one for Kyle when he started walking. he hates strollers and i have 2 other kids. so he'd have the backpack on, i'd put the thing on my wrist and hold my other 2 kids hands. no biggie. it kept him with me & safe

I had one, but I didn't like it so I gave it to someone else who would use it. Christopher didn't get the concept to stay within distance either, so I just wore him or put him in a stroller in busier areas.

I think they have a time and a place where they are ok. Like at Disney land, or going on a nature hike, or by the river/ocean... Things like that... The grocery store, Walmart, ect, I think it is a bit lazy. I'm not going to bash people for it though. To each their own I guess.

I personally do not use Safety Harnesses (sp?) But I can see how some parents may need one, not because they are "too lazy."

I don't have anything against them. Better than having your kid run out into traffic. My daughter loved walking/hated strollers and would squirm her hand out of my grip to chase a dog/squirrel/piece of paper in the wind/anything that moved. I didn't use one though because we didn't walk outside much. Just in stores or at the mall or park.

I haven't used one, but I'd consider using one depending on location.
We have some aquariums here, and they don't allow strollers.. so in that case, I may use one to make sure he is safe with me.
Any kid can easily run off in excitement.

but overall, to each their own.

i agree. when you have to forcefully pull the leash to get the kid to move, you shouldnt be using one. when its to keep the kid by you, its fine, imo

thats how i feel. if they cant walk with you and hold your hand then in the stroller they go.

we have been to disney twice and my son sometimes would get excited and either pulls us or let go of our hands. BUT WE would be holding HIS hand. not just letting him hold ours. so the only place he ever went was down to the ground lol

My opinion is that I don't have a right to have an opinion on what other people do with their kids.

I wouldnt use one in a grocery store or something. But I MAY consider it if we went somewhere where they can easily get lost;hurt
