Paci! He finally took it!

posted 2nd Feb
Ive tried our LO with pacis since birth - hes 4mo & hed never take them (our eldest DS loves his & it helped him soothe himself)

I gave him a gumdrop one i had stashed away (hes teething so i thought i'd be nice for him to chew on while i had my finger in it) .. now hes sucking away & falling asleep!

It stopped him fussing! Usually he fights his sleep and then cries & cries because hes over tired... not tonight though!

Omgosh lets hope he keeps his up!

I better order some more off ebay just incase we loose this LOL!

Please, please, please keep this up LO!!!

Just remember, you may regret that later lol. I'm so glad DS never took one. My best friend is trying to get the paci away from her DS and it is going to drive her crazy

I was one of the people who didn't give my daughter a pacifier because I was worried. I regretted not giving her one when I would have to give her my boob to comfort suck the entire night, and if I tried to take it away, she'd wake up and cry.

This one is totally getting a paci.

No way in hell will i regret it haha!!

Him crying uncontrollably for hours sucks balls, give me the paci & a quiet/happy bub any day

I think its helping with his reflux too, he seems more content, not fussing at all.

woohoo!!!

Our eldest was like that until i transitioned him from boob to bottle at 10 weeks.. i was so glad to have my boobs to myself for once haha!!!

I loveeee pacis!

Slightly bummed he prefers the gumdrop though   .. i used the MAM perfect with our eldest & so far his teeth look perfect.

I don't know what Id ever do without a paci!! You wont regret it at all! Just give it to him for sleeping or if he gets fussy in the car. You shouldn't have that much trouble breaking him from it at all. My 13 month old still uses his to go to bed at night. I don't think it will be hard to break him at all. Maybe 1 or 2 nights?

Yeah our 21mo gets his still at bed time/nap time, if hes upset/tired or in the car.

All together i think he'd have it a few hours a day, but he isn't allowed to put it in his mouth & walk around the house with it.

Its soothing purposes only

Hopefully this bub ends up the same & is much easier to settle from now on!

Im crossing my fingers he continues to use it!

I felt the same way at the time lol. DS refused to take them, so we didnt have anything really to soothe him. I can honestly say it really really sucked!!! Glad you found something that works for you!

Oh thats so nice to know!!

Im a tad paranoid about his teeth so i'll try to break him of it before hes 2.

Night nights is such a cute name!

DS calls his a 'dun da' .. i have no clue why LOL! Here we call it a dummy.. so i suppose it kind of resembles it a tad

Oh im paranoid about teeth too and wouldn't you know my little guy is insistent on sucking his thumb!
I think calling it a dummy is cute, sometimes I call it his sucky thing lol

I have 5 nephews and one of them started calling it a night night so now that's what my whole family calls it even when we look at them at the store we say night night lol its true kids change EVERYTHING

WOOT!!!!!

I never regretted it either, soothes them so much and one day they'll eventually grow out of it so its no big deal

Are they the American types, is that why you have to order from eBay? He might take store bought ones? Would probably work out way cheaper. Eli was using the happy baby ones for ages, they were only $3 something for 3. Can't use them now cause he keeps putting holes in them lol. We have tommee tippee now that when he bites it deflates so he can't get a hole in it!!

I've tried seriously every brand paci for him, i tried him again with the MAM ones and he wouldnt take it  ..

Gumdrop it is!

They are the american ones, but i don't mind getting them off ebay if it means he'll give me some peace & quiet & be a happier baby.

It was really nice to cuddle him while he fell asleep in my arms without fussing rather then feeling like a crap mum because i couldn't soothe him while he screamed.

Last night was my first good night with him... ever!

Yay!

I took the dummy away from Jay at I reckon around 25/26months, he had all his teeth by then, except for having an extra tooth (not dummy related) his teeth are perfect and straight. He was attached to his and we used all sorts of types.
