Actually that's exactly what that means. You can't control what people look at and how they look at it. What? Does it make you feel better that they're looking at someone else's child rather than your own?....because of your oh so tight privacy settings and "no friends posting rules". Hell, for all you know one of your oh so trusted facebook friends have secret desires for children. You can not do anything about it...

Mine is private. I wish it could be more private as in nobody can download anything without my permission. After my youngest son was born I posted nude pictures of him. I dont care about pedos. They are going to get off no matter what. I only post a couple pictures of my youngest son when I get them. But my oldest, I try to post as many as possible for family out of town.

That's very good for you. I think there's a big difference between being reserved and just hiding everything because of your pervert radar.

I too am going to ask my friends to not post pictures of my son. But it has nothing to do with perverts. It has more to do with the people I don't like that are always in my business.

I refuse to spend my life looking out the corner of my eye for perverts and murders and people that are both. To them, if there's a will there's a way! They'll do what they want. All you can really do is hope they get caught and put behind bars.

If I were you I'd spend more time and energy protecting them from people in their everyday lives than some random pervert on the other side of the tv screen. Be lucky because that pervert that is looking at your child over the computer is some other mother's next door neighbor.

I would also like to point out that I was not the one to start the talk of nude pics = pedophile bait. Other people drew that conclusion which sparked this lovely debate

I have only one family member who posts pix of my child, and I am in the works of getting them taken down. I don't care who else does it, but I don't trust having pictures on public forums like that. Having your account on private is not a real protection. As for the whole pedophile thing, I don't want them having pix of my kid dressed or undressed, period.

So, you're saying just make it easy for them? No sense in trying to protect children?

Please quote me where I said   No one WANTS a pervert to have their pictures dumbass. But they will if they want to whether your make it easy or not. Most perverts are usually really skilled hackers...they have to be to protect themselves...so they'll get what they want. If you want to spend your energy making sure random people online don't get their pictures....so be it. I'll spend my time protecting them from predators they may be encountering on a day to day basis.

Why does everything have to turn around and be made sexual? That is ridiculous.

Lol, so your one of those debaters huh? You can't een debate without name calling? Lol
Anyway, they won't get pictures from fb if there are none on fb. It takes more effort to upload a pic than to keep your child safe by NOT posting it.
And I am more conscious of keeping my child safe OFFLINE than most people, too. (Which also doesnt take any energy, like a lot of people want to pretend).

Actually, I didnt make it sexual. I just would not share up close pictures of my childs genitals and was just a bit surprised to see the pic. My other point was separate from the nude newborn pic in that we share a lot of info about our families and their habits on fb. If your account is open, strangers could easily learn a lot about you. When fb "check in's" first started, there were issues with home roberies in the news and it was related to people following your fb updates and targeting your homes when they knew no one was there.

I live across the country from my family.. On fb I post pictures of my son and they get to see him grow. I have my fb on private so only friends and fam can see.
