Gender reveal party

posted 2nd Feb
Have you had one? If so, how'd it go? What'd you do? Who'd you invite? For my first two pregnancies, I didn't do anything cute. Since this is hopefully my last I want to make it all cute.

We didn't do one since everyone was hounding us even as we went into the appointment (DS is the first grandchild for my parents) but DH and I were going to do cookies with colored cake pops inside that were either pink or blue and give one to all our parents and friends and have them all bite into them after dinner... but no one wanted to wait... even us... but we did put the idea on the back burner so when we have #2 we'll do that

I saw one for pictures the other day that I thought was adorable. You put white paint in a bottle then have the doctor put the color in there to change it. then you have a spray fight with SO and they used that for a Gender reveal.

So for a gender reveal party...is it supposed to be like, me and the husband don't know what we're having neither and then when we have the gender reveal party that's when we will find out plus whoever's at the party? Or could it be like me and the husband know, just don't tell anyone and then we tell people at the party, or do some cute idea for how everyone finds out? I've never had a gender reveal party, nor have I heard of anyone having one except on here lol. I'm not having a baby shower because it's my 3rd baby so I figured a gender reveal party would be a good idea.   It's my last baby..hopefully, if it's a boy.
