How soon after c-sec is safe to get pregnant again?
posted 2nd Feb
I had to have a c-section in August 2012 because my daughter was breech. I have a slight bicornuate uterus (heart shaped uterus) so she had no room to turn. She is a healthy little girl. What do you think? I want another baby soon so they can be close together in age. TIA

They say wait a year for your body to be completely healed but idk if that also implies towards a c-section as well.

It's recommended to wait 12-18 months.

At least a year. The incision in your uterus needs lots of time to heal, especially if you want a VBAC. If it doesn't heal enough, your uterus can burst (rare, but it happens!) and the entire pregnancy is harder on your body. Yeah!

You should wait at least 18 months. Back to back pregnancies are hard on a body that WASN'T just cut open. You're at higher risk for placental abruption, placenta previa, uterine rupture, and preterm labor.

It takes your body 18 months to fully recover from a full term pregnancy. I'm not sure about c sections exactly Although I guess everything depends on person. My cousin had 3 c sections since 2009. :/
