It's not CIO, it's a method that's been working for us. We just started when he turned 1 on the 18th.

It might be different for your Lo cuz mine was a lot younger when we did it, but the first night he cried for an hour and a half! It got less and less each night and after like a week and a half he'd only fuss for a few min

Not that its any of my business but I wouldnt jump from Cosleeping to CIO, its like chalk and cheese,
We got our DD into her own bed happily and easily by using her bed for naps, spending lots of time in her room in the day and then putting her into her bed once she was asleep, We then moved on to taking her up laying her in her cot and talking to her with her music playing and lights on ect to now she goes up and gets into bed i read a story she says goodnight and rolls over and goes to sleep   There are a million options between CS and CIO CIO is ( i feel) a last resort, especially if for the first year your baby has been with you it would be too much of a shock

What age did you start this? Thinking of moving 15 month dd from our bed to her own soon, but we still can't rid of the nighttime breastfeedings.

Thanks for this! I plan on trying this with my LO when he turns one. Unless he magically decides to sleep better before then lol.

Granted with Hunter he wasn't breast fed, buttt I would put him into his bed and let him cry for about 15-20 minutes then go back in a soothe him WITHOUT getting him out of bed (patting his back, rubbing his head, singing) ,then when he was calmed down I would leave out of the room again and if he started crying again i'd wait another 15-20 minutes and go back in and do the same. Again and again and again until he fell asleep. Eventually it took less and less times of me going in there before I didn't have to go in there anymore.
