triggers (as)

How do you deal with triggers and not let it affect you? every time I talk about my abortion or someone brings it up I cry. And once the tears come they don't stop. idk how to deal with this. I know I can't take it back but I wish I could so bad.

Nothing triggers it because I was confident about my decision. But I highly suggest you see a therapist.

I have to agree... And time helps. I used to be so torn up about it. But then I realized that it was the best thing for me to do.

I think as time goes on the triggers become fewer and less abstract.

A week or two after mine EVERYTHING was a trigger! And my reactions to them were very intense. Now, only specifically abortion is a trigger, a couple other direct ones too (pregnancies of 3rd child etc) and my reaction is not as dramatic there are usually no tears just an inner pain that people wouldn't notice in me if they weren't paying close attention
