Switchig to a Brand that is "most like" the one irritating his skin might not be very helpful. If I were you I would avoid the diapers that are super similar to the ones causing the issue. Kwim?

Yeah. I thought of that as well. I made a post asking about most like diapers and target was what everyone said. It just dawned on me today that it might be the diapers. I was hoping they were made of a different material. I don't like Huggies because of the plasticy feel to them, but will definitely use them if need be.

I posted earlier in the thread that the 7th generation ones are good and really helped my daughters skin clear up. They are dye free, chlorine free, and unscented.
If the pampers ones are bothering his skin I would probably want to completely avoid diapers like them.

No problem   weve been doing it a week now and it's definitely paid off. I love it so far. And today I began using cloth wipes which made my life 100x easier. She keeps pooping little bits constantly so I'd have ready probably been through a couple packs of dipes. She goes through like 15 a day   I have counted specifically but thats approx how many I have and I've been washing daily when I get down to 3 left and she usually uses those by the time the wash/dry is done.

The huggies natural ones might feel different.

My daughter is sensitive to luvs and pampers. Huggies are fine. I feel like there are a lot more chemicals in luvs and pampers, not to mention the fragrance. I switched to mostly cloth after we spent the summer trying to fix a luvs rash..

I'd like to give cloth a go but we don't have the extra cash to start out right now

We get them from amazon but they have them at target.

I know the up front costs suck. But there's pretty cheap ways to do it. If u start buying the natural diapers remember the price goes up. So youre gonna be putting more into diapers. Maybe start by Getting a few for the day and use disposables at night. And then when u get more $ buy some more. The more you buy the less disposable you have to do. Are you a good sewer or know anyone? U can make them really cheap. One lady on here uses cheap receiving blankets that cost her like $2 a piece and puts a cover over them. That's a pretty cheap option.

I have aveeno, I love their products. Do you use their oatmeal baths? I've never had/given one before.

We got some packets in the medicine section. Idk the brand. But we had to use them for dd when she had chicken pox. I heard u can also put regular old fashioned oats in a sock and put it in the bath and squeeze it. Or powder the oatmeal in a blender and use it that way.

I look at it like this... every disposable you buy is roughly .25 cents. When I bought my first set of cloth diapers, I bought sunbaby, and I got 12 for $60. So $5/diaper. I figured I had to use each diaper 20 for it to pay for itself. We spent roughly $50/month on disposables. So even if I only used them one month, I wouldn't have lost much.

That was like six months ago. Now I have two in cloth all day and a preschooler in them at night. I can practically hear dollar signs when I put diapers in the washer. I wash over a dozen diapers per day....

Yup. We use plain oats from the dried foods section and put them in a tea ball inte tub. I've meet used an oatmeal bath mixture.
But the aveeno baby eczema treatment is wonderful.
