Abilify

My doctor started me on it the other day. I know it will take a little bit to start to really help, but I wanted some thoughts and experiences with it. Thanks

Yeah Im ok. Just trying to get some stuff under control. I will say Ive been on the Abilify almost a week and I think its starting to work pretty good.

I just started Lamictal for bipolar type 2. I have heard awesome things about Abilify though. What do you take it for, if you dont mind me asking?

He put me on it for my depression, but said he thinks I may be bipolar as well. Ive thought it for awhile, just havnt said anything. Both of my brothers are, so I already know how it is. I dont think its that bad, but its enough that I cant handle it on my own right now.

That is how I felt starting out and finally went from being depressed then she diagnosed me with bipolar. I have the up and down moments real quick and sometimes last for days. That's when she knew it was more than depression. You have a great med though, keep me posted. I kinda wish my phyc would have put me on that, but I dont think it would cocktail well with all the others I am on.

Thanks. My biggest worry is gaining weight. I struggle as it is, so I dont want to worry that the medicine is going to stop me from losing.

I am the same way with my weight and the meds I take. Just watch it and if you notice sudden gain than I would mention it to your doc. GL!

I will...thanks! Im starting to work out and eat better so if I dont lose or I gain then Ill make sure and bring it up when I go at the end of the month.
