Exactly!! I have an aunt that is that way, and my cousin NEVER lets her take the kids anywhere. I don't know why people refuse to believe the information that is given to them. I mean, especially about children's safety, why would they lie about those studies?

I know right!! But I bought a car seat and installed it in her car. And my DD is smart she's almost 4. She knows she's suppose to be in a carseat. She tells her grandma. I need to be in a seat nana. It's dangerous lol

The cool thing is, it's not a law there. Everyone just does it because it's common knowledge there that it's safest. They've been rear-facing kids since the '60s. I hope in a few more years it'll happen everywhere else too.

It's one year and 20 lbs. And yeah that's young but there are people all over the world that don't care. Take my SIL for instance who is FF her 6 month old 13 lb little girl. I tried to tell her but all I got was attitude.

I would have liked to RF until 3 but DD's legs are sooo long.

Geez this thread got ugly.

Long legs do not prevent a child from rear facing, there has never been a documented case of broken legs from a child being in an accident while rfing but there have been many serious injuries and DEATHS from children involved in accidents while ffing. Besides a broken leg is much easier to fix than a spine, brain or spinal cord.
