What to wear during potty training?

My DS pooped in the potty!!! It is the first time he has done anything in the potty. He told me his booty hurt around the time he usually poops so I asked him to try to go potty. He sat down and went. He was so pround of himself. He is 2 1/2 so I hope this is a sign he is ready.

Do you let your LO run around naked, in underwear, in pull-ups, or in diapers when they are at home and potty training?

I let my son walk around naked from about 12 months. By the time he was 18 months he was fully potty trained!

I used underwear, because if I used pull ups he wouldn't use the toilet. It worked, he didn't like being wet at all, it took him a little longer to come around to pooping in the potty, he was almost 4 by the time he was fully daytime trained. Good luck!

I did naked at home.. my first pt'd by 2.5, my second was fully pt'd by his 2nd birthday.

Well my daughter turned 2 in October and with potty training I'm just letting her wear diapers for now I tried panties and she didn't care when she peed down her leg,she's actually doing better just letting her wear diapers, so I think it depends on the kid :/

we did underwear just because I can't stand dicks and vag all over everything.

I use panties or run around naked. She doesn't like peeing on herself or pooping. She is 20 months old and wears diapers only for nap and bedtime. Other than that she is trained.

Underwear & pants. If they train naked then you have to retract them wearing clothes.

My daughter decided to start using the potty last week. She does great and doesn't have an accident until I put bottoms on her. Then she just sits down and pees in the clothes, lol, so I'm just going to let her go bottomless for the most part and keep showing her how to pull them down each time I go. My daughter is 2 1/2, too!

We did the same with my son. Once he got the pulling them down part we were good to go ;)

This seriously made me crack up. I am with you, being naked is okay in theory, but my son goes to daycare, I needed him to be in underwear and pants...
